Here's a look at the control panel. Notice the joysticks are on opposite ends of the panel. This was done to make the trackball accessible. Keep control accessibility in mind when designing your board. The fir of the wood is close enought that no securing bolts were needed to hold the control panel in place. Also note on the trackball, the four outside screws (on the corners) secure the trackball plate to the control panel, the four inside screws secure the trackball to the trackball plate.
